After five seasons, the hit FX show starring Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Liza Colón-Zayas, and the rest of the ensemble has closed its kitchen doors. The finale delivers the cathartic ending fans have been waiting for.
The Bear survives—and thrives. After months of flooded kitchens, broken ovens, and financial pressure, Carmy finally picks up the phone calls he's been dodging all season. A man named Peter Clark dined at the restaurant months earlier without anyone knowing, and his glowing review lands The Bear two Michelin stars.
White's Carmy then walks away from it all. Despite his culinary genius, the chef decides to leave food behind entirely, becoming an intern at an architectural firm. The season's final scene shows him at a family celebration with Claire (Molly Gordon) by his side.
The rest of the crew stays put. Liza Colón-Zayas's Tina steps up as Chef de Cuisine, Lionel Boyce's Marcus oversees desserts, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach's Richie keeps the front of house running. Abby Elliott's Sugar continues managing finances.
White reflected on the journey before the finale aired, telling E! News: "It would be hard to replicate. Getting to witness everybody do the work at the level that they do has been a [rare gift]."
The show has accumulated 49 Emmy nominations and 21 wins since its 2022 premiere.
