DJ John Summit is launching his first full-fledged arena tour across North America this fall, bringing his sophomore album CTRL ESCAPE to major venues. The electronic music producer is a former accountant who left corporate work to pursue music full-time.
According to Rolling Stone's ticket guide, Summit's tour runs from October 1 through December 4, hitting major cities including Toronto, Atlanta, Miami, Chicago, Brooklyn, and Philadelphia. The West Coast gets one date: a December show at Oakland Arena.
"I love being able to share my story of breaking out of the matrix that is the corporate life, and really try to push the boundaries as best I can in electronic music," Summit said in a video shared when the album dropped on April 15. His album cover shows him climbing through office ceiling tiles, and the Tax Day release was a reference to his former 9-to-5 work.
Summit has been performing at festivals and Vegas clubs for years. This arena tour represents a new level of mainstream recognition for the electronic music producer.
