Maya Jama and Roman Kemp's Insanity Talent Management is making moves in the agency business.
The duo's rapidly expanding operation has just poached agents from two of the UK's most prestigious talent houses—Independent Talent and Curtis Brown.
Grace O'Leary is the notable hire. After 12 years at Independent, she has joined Insanity as Senior Talent Manager. During her time at Independent, she worked with broadcasting names including Sian Welby, Dolly Alderton, and Lauren Laverne.
O'Leary has already signed several clients to the Insanity roster, including Dolly, bringing established relationships to the operation.
The hires show that Insanity, founded by the media-savvy duo, is moving beyond its early stage. By recruiting agents with deep relationships across broadcasting, television, and entertainment, Jama and Kemp are building the infrastructure of a larger agency.
For Independent and Curtis Brown, losing experienced agents to an ambitious newcomer is a setback. But it is also evidence that Jama and Kemp's venture is becoming credible. In the agent business, clients follow relationships. When seasoned operators like O'Leary move, it signals they believe in the vision.
Insanity's strategy is straightforward: hire people who know everyone, let them bring their best clients, and repeat.
