Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber are supporting their 17-year-old daughter Kai's modeling career. According to E! Online, the transgender model has walked for Valentino, Mugler, and Jean Paul Gaultier.
Kai made her Valentino debut at Paris Fashion Week in March 2025, with Liev in attendance. The Ray Donovan star posted on Instagram, calling her a "Stunner" and writing "Brava Kai."
When critics raised "nepo baby" questions, Liev responded to TMZ: "I don't have many thoughts for the haters. What if you were a professional actor and your child decided they wanted to do something in this world. Do they have the choice of what you did?" The 58-year-old's point was straightforward.
Watts, 57, described herself as "a bit of a momager" in an October appearance on Today with Jenna & Friends. She is helping Kai navigate the industry while the model is still young. "She's got her head on and it was a nice way for her to feel pride about what she's doing," Watts said.
Kai has spoken to Interview Magazine about her journey, noting that her interest in fashion and glamorous figures like Marilyn Monroe connects to her gender identity. "As a young trans girl, I'm always going to look up to the older generation of transgender people, especially in fashion," she said.
The 17-year-old describes herself as part of a "doll takeover" of LGBTQ+ talent on the runway. With Watts and Liev supporting her, Kai has prominent backing as she advances in the industry.
