Quando Rondo has been released from federal prison and transferred to a halfway house in Atlanta. The Savannah rapper, real name Tyquian Bowman, had been incarcerated at Edgefield Federal Correctional Institution in South Carolina since late 2024.
Bowman pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess and distribute marijuana. He was sentenced to 33 months but has served 15 months. According to inmate records, he is scheduled for full release on November 11. He was also ordered to pay a $40,000 fine.
Prosecutors initially charged him with conspiracy to possess and distribute methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, and marijuana. A conviction could have resulted in up to 20 years. His plea deal led to those charges being dropped.
Bowman was arrested in December 2023. The "I Remember" rapper broke through in the late 2010s with collaborations featuring Lil Baby and YoungBoy Never Broken Again. He released his third studio album, Here for a Reason, in November 2024, before his sentencing.
The 27-year-old is now in the halfway house phase of his release.
