Richard Dreyfuss is canceling his appearance at a Jaws cast reunion at the Hollywood Show fan convention in Burbank, California on May 30.
According to Deadline, Dreyfuss cited "circumstances completely beyond my control" in pulling out of the event.
In a statement, Dreyfuss said: "To all the incredible fans, my JAWS cast family, and everyone looking forward to the event..." before explaining his withdrawal.
Dreyfuss, who won an Academy Award for The Goodbye Girl, rarely cancels fan appearances. The reason for this cancellation remains unclear.
Other cast members are expected to attend the May 30 event. Fans seeking photo ops and autographs from Dreyfuss will need to wait for another occasion.
