Sean Ono Lennon, son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, is directing his first film: ThreeASFOUR: Full Circle, a documentary about the New York fashion collective. The film premieres at the Tribeca Festival on Sunday night.

Co-directed with Brian C. González, the documentary is being released theatrically by Assembly Releasing, which plans a fall opening at Film Forum in Manhattan.

ThreeASFOUR, a collective that includes Gabi Asfour, is known for boundary-pushing fashion design in New York. The group is documented in the film as the artists discuss their work and creative process.

For Lennon, the project represents his first venture into filmmaking after years in music and other creative work. The experimental approach of the collective mirrors the artistic environment in which he was raised.

The documentary will reach wider audiences when it opens in theaters this fall.
