Sofia Vergara's production company LatinWe is teaming up with AF Films to develop a scripted TV series based on Guillermo Arriaga's original Amores Perros screenplay.

The Oscar-winning Mexican film from 2000, directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, is being reimagined as a high-end international drama for television. The original wove together multiple narratives in Mexico City with emotional depth.

The project is based on Arriaga's original scripts Perro Blanco and Perro Negro. It marks a shift into scripted content for LatinWe, Vergara's Hispanic talent management and entertainment company. The adaptation brings Arriaga's storytelling to a serialized format.

LatinWe has focused on talent management and brand partnerships since its launch. This scripted series represents an expansion into premium drama production with Latin American roots for global audiences.

Details on casting, release timeline, and streaming platform have not been announced.
